About the Ox:
The Ox is the second animal in the 12-year cycle of the Chinese zodiac. People born under this sign are patient, speak little, and inspire confidence in others. Generally easy-going, they can be very stubborn, and they hate to fail or be opposed. The ox sign also carries with it the characteristic of fortitude and hard work, just like its animal namesake.
To organize and present a traditional, family-friendly Chinese New Year celebration for Bainbridge Island residents and visitors each year, designed to be educational, entertaining, and delicious.
To raise awareness and increase interest in Chinese culture and traditions.
To bring together and strengthen a community of people who share a connection to China, through family, business, education, adoption, travel and friendship.
