Dear Supporter of Chinese New Year Festivals Past!
It is with regret that we have decided not to mount a Chinese New Year Festival in the spring of 2010. We have experienced a significant turnover in our Board, with many of the veterans moving on to other interests.
At this point, our decision affects 2010 only. We intend to take a year off, and test the waters again next year for 2011. We will let you know well in advance if we are able to resume the Festival.
We are very grateful for your loyal support over the last four years. The B.I. Chinese Connection could never have done it without you!
To organize and present a traditional, family-friendly Chinese New Year celebration for Bainbridge Island residents and visitors each year, designed to be educational, entertaining, and delicious.
To raise awareness and increase interest in Chinese culture and traditions.
To bring together and strengthen a community of people who share a connection to China, through family, business, education, adoption, travel and friendship.
Getting to Bainbridge Island
Beautiful Bainbridge Island is just a short, scenic 35-minute ferry ride from Seattle, and an easy drive from anywhere in Kitsap County.
From Seattle
Take the Seattle-Bainbridge Ferry from Coleman Dock (Pier 51). Relax and enjoy the view of the city and Mt. Rainier for 35 minutes. Upon disembarking the ferry, exit the ferry building, walk up the hill, and turn left onto Winslow Way. Walk two long blocks to join in the festivities. Get the latest Bainbridge ferry schedule here
